Bulls Push Another Layer of Resistance

2:00pm (EST)

The bulls continue their push higher on hopes Europe may be making progress in dealing with its debt crisis.  Futures were pointing towards a strong open and the bulls have held their gains as economic news has also come in slightly ahead of expectations.

The Case-Shiller Home Price Index for July was up 0.9% month-over-month, but was down 4.1% year-over-year.  The Consumer Confidence reading for September came in at 45.4, versus expectations for 46.6 while the Richmond Fed manufacturing index posted a print of -6, versus expectations for a reading of -11.

As we head to press, the Dow is higher by 285 points to 11,328 while the S&P is up 29 points to 1,192.  The Nasdaq is showing the biggest pop percentage wise with its 67 point surge and is at 2,583.

We have to cut it short today because we want to cover our current trades which are showing some nice movement.  Subscribers, check the Members Area for the updates.
