The bulls are trying to finish the week with a bang but still have some work to do just to get back to even Steven. Futures were pointing towards a decent open and the bulls have held their gains despite some weaker-than-expected economic news.
You would think coming into today’s session the market would be up or down big time with all of the 400-500-and-600 points swings in the Blue-Chips this week, but overall, as we head into the weekend, the bears have a comfortable lead.
The Dow started the week at 11,444 and is up 137 points to 11,280. The S&P was at 1,199 on Monday morning and is currently higher by 9 points to 1,181. The Nasdaq stood at 2,532 and is showing a 17 point advance to 2,509.
We’ve had a busy week and a good one as our subscribers have closed 4 option trades for winners. One recommendation returned gains of 1,167% while the other handed our readers 205%.
This morning they added profits of 20% and 78% using both call and put options in less than 24 hours! Ka-ching. In other words, we told you this would be one of the best times to play options as the current market swings are providing unbelievable profits!
We are expecting the volatility to last until the end of August and next week could be extra spicy as the August monthly options will be expiring.
We urge you to take advantage of the market’s volatility and the possible rebound (or selloff) that could occur over the rest of the year. The market is either going to hold current levels and make a huge run here on out, or, the wheels come off the bulls’ wagon and Wall Street welcomes a new sheriff to town.
We mentioned inside our Members Area this week that the market was down 17% from its April highs which was just a field-goal away – percentage wise – from officially entering “Bear” market territory. This will be a huge trend change if the bulls can’t hold their current comeback next week. We will be going over the levels to watch for in our Weekly Wrap on Sunday.
The final hour of trading should be interesting and anything can happen. Be sure to join us Sunday to get the latest and greatest. Until then, have a sweet weekend!
