Futures are pointing towards a higher open this morning on the Greek bailout package and some M&A activity.

As far as economic news, the Institute for Supply Management’s monthly manufacturing survey comes out this morning at 10am.  Wall Street is looking for reading of 60 for April, up from 59.6 the month before.  A reading above 50 indicates growth.

Earlier this morning, personal income showed an increase of 0.3%, while consumer spending increased 0.6%.  Both were in line with expectations.   

In corporate news, UAL (UAUA, $21.60, up $0.13), parent of United Airlines, has agreed to buy Continental Airlines (CAL, $22.35, down $0.35) for a little over $3 billion in stock, a deal that would form the world’s largest airline.

Elsewhere, Apple (AAPL, $261.09, down $0.99) is up over $3 in pre-market trading after announcing they have sold its one million iPad in less than a month.  Users have already downloaded over 12 million apps from the App Store and over 1.5 million ebooks.  Wow.
