Dendreon (DNDN, $50.18, up $10.56)

May 55 calls (DNDN100522C00055000, $1.45, up $0.75)

Entry Price:  $1.50 (4/26/10)

Exit Target: $2.00+

Return: -3%

Stop Target:  None

Action:  We mentioned on Monday these options were expensive.  The options still doubled from Wednesday’s close and we knew by going this far out-of-the-money that we might not get the return some of you were hoping for…yet.

These options still have 3 weeks before they expire and we think shares can continue to move higher.  There are quotes that these options traded at $5 when trading resumed at 3:30pm yesterday but we aren’t sure if that is an accurate quote or not.  In any event, if shares can reach $60 by May 21 then these calls will be worth $5 anyway.  There are still huge risks associated with holding these options but like we said Monday, we are going for it.  Dendreon has been our baby for 3 years and now that the media has jumped on the bandwagon we know it is growing up.

Stop Target:  $1.75, raise to $2.10

Action:  Shares of Akamai touched a high of $40.10 and we would love to see a close above that level going into the weekend.
